Inventor and Chief Technology Officer

An award-winning professor of physical chemistry, Dr Jamil Rima has held visiting professorships at the University of Hawaii, Duke University, New York University, Syracuse University, Université de Sherbrooke and Monash University. His pioneering research into catalytic molecular destabilisation led to the invention of Waste Magic's core conversion process, enabling the carbonisation of organic material without combustion. As CTO, Dr Rima leads the scientific development of the technology and works alongside the engineering team to advance its commercial application. “I have always believed that science should solve real problems and improve people's lives. An entrepreneur and executive with diverse international business experience spanning finance, mining, property and emerging ventures, Bradley focuses on building strategic partnerships with governments, industry and investors. He oversees Waste Magic's international expansion, commercial strategy and regional leadership, assembling specialist teams and partnerships across key global markets to deliver the company's vision at scale. “Waste Magic is about taking extraordinary science and turning it into a practical global solution. Freddy Ejeil

President – China

Freddy Ejeil leads Waste Magic's development and expansion across China, bringing experience in cross-cultural business development, manufacturing and government relations. After more than two years on the ground developing Waste Magic's Chinese relationships, Freddy has established connections across government, industry, manufacturing and project development. As a Director of World Waste Management, Waste Magic's China-focused development vehicle, he oversees local manufacturing strategy, strategic partnerships and the progression of large-scale waste opportunities throughout the Chinese market. “China's manufacturing strength and appetite for large-scale innovation create an exceptional opportunity for Waste Magic. Irina Kalonatchi

Operations & Strategy Manager

Irina Kalonatchi supports Waste Magic's operations, government funding strategy and AI-enabled business systems. Founder of digital agency Betty Blue, she brings experience in technology, project management, digital platforms and corporate communications. At Waste Magic, Irina coordinates grant applications, government submissions, investment documentation and strategic project frameworks while developing AI-enabled methodologies that improve research, planning and organisational efficiency. Alessandro Giorgio Ceccon

President – Europe & Africa

Alessandro Ceccon is an international business executive and entrepreneur with experience across investment, commodities and cross-border business development throughout Europe, Africa and the Middle East. At Waste Magic, Alessandro leads development across Europe and Africa and has played a pivotal role in advancing plans for Waste Magic's proposed €400 million manufacturing facility and technology campus in Italy, securing significant institutional support and recognition for the initiative. Ray Gordon

Lead Engineer

Canadian technologist, inventor and industrialist Ray Gordon brings decades of experience across manufacturing, infrastructure, automation and waste-to-energy technologies. As CEO of Continental Waste Conversion Ltd, Ray combines practical engineering experience with a strong background in developing and manufacturing industrial systems. He currently leads engineering and manufacturing development of Waste Magic's next-generation Mark II commercial system, working to transition the technology into scalable production while identifying complementary technologies and project opportunities that can strengthen Waste Magic's future capabilities. “Great engineering turns ambitious ideas into reliable systems that can perform in the real world. Marc Gimbrere

Engineering & Projects

Founder of Terradigm Group, Marc Gimbrere brings international project development, technology and business experience spanning India, the Americas and Europe. Having previously built and led businesses in the IT sector, Marc now focuses on emerging technologies, infrastructure and waste-to-energy development. Through Terradigm, he works alongside Waste Magic on engineering coordination, project development and strategic advisory, leveraging an international network of technology providers, industry partners and project opportunities to support the company's global deployment strategy. “Waste challenges cannot be solved by technology alone — they require the right engineering, partnerships and project structures around it. Raghu Takle

Engineering & Projects – India

Raghu Takle brings approximately 30 years of experience in power generation, industrial equipment and major engineering projects, including senior experience with Mitsubishi, Rolls-Royce, Clarke Energy and Guascor. Working with the Terradigm team, Raghu supports Waste Magic's engineering, manufacturing and project development strategy in India. His extensive industry experience and regional relationships help drive manufacturing partnerships, technical coordination and engagement with government and enterprise stakeholders as Waste Magic develops its presence across the Indian market. “India has the engineering capability, industrial scale and urgent need to become a major force in advanced waste transformation. Alistair Rigney

Director – Waste Intelligence

Alistair Rigney brings 30 years of experience in software engineering, systems architecture and complex data-driven applications across government, banking, telecommunications, control systems and transport. With qualifications in Chemical Engineering, Computer Science and Applied Mathematics and Sciences, he combines strong analytical capability with extensive technology experience. At Waste Magic, Alistair leads waste intelligence, developing systems and analytical frameworks to assess waste streams, project opportunities and operational data, helping transform complex information into actionable intelligence for project development and deployment. “Waste becomes far more manageable when we can understand it clearly, measure it accurately and turn complex data into practical decisions. Business Development

Jason Bonder is a business development and commercialisation specialist with more than two decades of experience bringing products and emerging technologies to market. His career spans luxury retail, international e-commerce, manufacturing, product development and technology ventures, including more than a decade representing Bang & Olufsen across Europe and Australia. At Waste Magic, Jason focuses on developing commercial opportunities, strategic partnerships, feedstock relationships and market access, with particular experience across Australia and Indonesia and a strong focus on turning opportunities into commercially viable projects. “A powerful technology creates its greatest impact when it is matched with a genuine market need and a commercially workable path forward. Stephen Belfor

Project Manager

Stephen Belfor is a senior technology and innovation leader with more than 35 years of experience commercialising advanced R&D across space, defence, biotechnology, materials science, energy and informatics. A former founder, CEO and program leader, Stephen specialises in translating complex innovation into funded, operational and market-ready ventures. Media, PR & Awards

Rachelle Malaza coordinates Waste Magic's media, public relations and awards strategy, helping communicate the company's technology, projects and environmental mission to audiences around the world. With professional experience at Meta and TikTok and a degree in Human Resources Management, she brings an understanding of global digital platforms, communications and people engagement. Passionate about environmental progress, Rachelle works with Waste Magic's leadership and external media partners to coordinate publicity, media opportunities, award submissions and communications supporting the company's growing international profile. “Waste Magic has a story that deserves to be understood: one of innovation, environmental responsibility and genuine optimism. Nguyen Thi Minh Hang

Regional Advisor – Vietnam

Nguyen Thi Minh Hang (Bà Nguyễn Thị Minh Hằng) is Chairwoman and CEO of MH Group, a Vietnamese multi-industry corporation focused on international investment, technology transfer, logistics and sustainable development. MH Group has entered into an MOU with Waste Magic and is working directly with Vietnam's Ministry of Science and Technology toward a structured government rollout strategy. As Managing Partner of Verto Impact Partners, Glenn focuses on circular economy, energy transition and low-carbon infrastructure opportunities. His work has mobilised more than 100,000 people, educated over 200,000 and supported major marine debris, waterway restoration and community initiatives. A long-standing expert adviser to the United Nations Environment Programme, Sam was appointed a Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit and named Young New Zealander of the Year.
